We know our customers are looking to shop for environmentally conscious clothing with style and here at Rosebuds and Pearls we are helping to make a difference to do better, to be better and to inspire change - change you can wear.
What we are doing
At Rosebuds and Pearls all the fabrics for our super-soft jumpers and hoodies have been carefully sourced and selected to bring you the very best, in quality and in ethics.
The suppliers we work with are members of Sedex - www.Sedex.com - and only use WRAP certified factories. WRAP is a non-profit organisation made up of global social compliance experts who are dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing around the world.
To gain WRAP certification a facility must comply with WRAP's 12 principles which include prohibition of Child & Forced labour, limits on the hours of work and monitoring of the work environment to ensure health & safety rules are adhered to - www.wrapcompliance.org.
The cardboard boxes that our products arrive in are reused to ship out wholesale orders or recycled at our local recycling centre. We also use biodegradable plastic mailing bags. We only use 100% recycled tissue paper and paper bags which you can easily recycle at home, ensuring you too can do your part to help protect our planet.
What our suppliers are doing
We only use factories that are either WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) certified or members of BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative). This enables us to monitor every step of the entire manufacturing process, from yarn to garment. We recognise the importance of our responsibility to ensure the manufacturing methods used match the ideals of those who love and wear our products and becoming Peta-approved was a great milestone to be able to add this cruelty-free stamp to our products.
Today, when the spotlight is on every aspect of clothing manufacturing, here and overseas, it’s more important than ever for us to ensure that we, and our global partners, share a commitment to fair and safe working practices. And this applies throughout our global supply chain where we demand stringent monitoring of all our suppliers. To police these best practices, we have dedicated in-country teams regularly visiting and inspecting all the factories we use.
As part of the brands’ sustainability journey, all our hoodies and jumpers are also now officially recognised as 100% free of any animal ingredients. The PETA-Approved Vegan logo was established to label products that no animal had to suffer for, and highlight vegan fashion items commitment to animals. We recognise the importance of our responsibility to ensure the manufacturing methods used match the ideals of those who love and wear our products and we are therefore thrilled to add this cruelty-free stamp to our products.
What you can do
Rosebuds and Pearls packaging, including mailing bags, tissue paper and paper bags are all recyclable. We encourage all our customers to do their part to collectively help protect our planet. Please ensure that all Rosebuds and Pearls packaging is disposed of correctly for onwards recycling and regeneration.
